Luz and I first met online on Yahoo! Personals. I
had just finished my divorce after 21 years of marriage and I was just
looking at the profiles. I saw her picture there and I was immediately
drawn to her. She has such a sweet smile! Her profile said that she was
from the St.Louis area so I sent her an email. She wrote back and said
that she was living in the Philippines and her location on Yahoo!
was a mistake. She asked me if I still wanted to chat and I said yes! We
chatted off and on from November of 2003 until January of 2004. At that
point we really started getting closer to each other and I wanted to do
more than just type to her over the computer. I asked her for her phone
number and I called her. OH MAN! Her voice was so cute!! Apparently she
like my voice also and we had many wonderful conversations. We got more
and more attached to each other and it got to the point that we were
chatting online and talking on the phone every day. We started exchanging
pictures with each other. I thought she was so pretty!! At that point I
was hooked! In February I started planning a trip to go see her. I bought
a ticket to the Philippines that left on March 28 2004.
