After the wonderful trip I had in March I made Luz a promise. I
said "I shall return!" In November of 2004 I kept that promise. I had a
rather rough time between March and November. I lost my job and was
forced to declare bankruptcy. Things didn't look good for me for a while.
But I had an anchor. Her name was Luz. She stuck with me and kept me
going. For that I will forever be in her debt. So I started working again
and had the opportunity to do some out of town work to make some
overtime. With that money I bought a ticket to go see Luz again. I
thought it would be appropriate to go there on Thanksgiving in order to
celebrate with Luz my victory over the hard times I had.
Luz and her
son Robin of course didn't know much about our holiday of Thanksgiving. I
told them the story of our first Thanksgiving and how it is a time to
come together and share the gifts that God has given us with our friends
and family. I am so thankful that I found Luz and Robin and I couldn't
think of a better place to spend that special holiday.
Luz and Robin had never had a traditional turkey dinner before.
Fortunately there was a store that had frozen turkeys. So I bought a 12
pounder and did my best to make them one. I made my own stuffing out of
bread, cooked the turkey in her counter-top oven and we had cranberry
sauce. They loved it!!

I was there for two weeks. We did a lot of things together. One of the
most important things we did was go to her favorite church. There we lit
candles together and before God we pledged our love and devotion to each
other.

We also went to the beach together. We had such a great time!!

We had such a great time on my 2 week trip there. I am so blessed to
have Luz and her son!!
